Arena net is great
Someone explain to me how some individuals find any reason to bash arena net? The game is free online play, and still, arena net is constantly coming up with new innoviations for the game, trying to listen to what the players want, and comming up with additions. the fact that the game has changed in such a massive degree compared to the day it came out is reason enough to be happy with arena net.
i see constant complaining about the way arena net changes things. in particualr i see alot of individuals complaining about the recent ideas for heroes ascent. regardless of what is done to change anything in this game, i will adapt, and continue playing and having fun. thats the point in the changes, too make people adapt. i like having a game that forces you to think.
i dont want this to come accross as sucking up. clearly i am not gunna get anything out of this. guild wars is not going the message me saying 'for telling everyone howawesome we are, here is 50k, a free character slot, and a hat that says "brown noser"'.
again, someone please explain why somehumans complain so much.

I would guess because Anet does things against that certain persons wishes. Like me, I complain because they could do better, I could care less if they make it free that doesn't concern me. I'll still play though. I also like to complain so that might be why some people do it as well.
Oh and the word adapt needs to be deleted from life.
But I do like this game, more than some people would know as it's given me something other than entertainment.

"Us humans" complain at arenanet because they take 8 years to come out with a skill balance that could take maybe a week to make up and then another week to test if they put the time into it. I do not know the exact math but that sounds pretty close given the fact that it took them what 3 months? to have the beta weekend up and running. Without the game/skill balance the game isnt really fun because everyone will just exploit the over-powered skills. Some things may take time like Jagged Bones which is IMBA and would need special time to take care of but other skills like Spiritual Pain are clear skills that needed to be toned down.
When it takes forever it seems like to come up with an update to these skills "us humans" get a little angry. Especially when A) HA is a scrubfest and B) the ladder is a joke right now with farming 2 rating. So the competitiveness is out of the game combined with the loss of skill balance means PvP players arent having fun PvPing and when that happens its like hell is knocking on your front door step. And with the HA weekend it seems like ArenaNET is trying to sway the metagame (the state of the game/skills/builds.) by changing skills for instance buff all the hexes but make divert take 2 seconds to cast? Good thing the changed that back. Ofcourse all that im saying is people dont like waiting forever on skill balances that dont need to take forever and when they do take forever the game takes a stale taste.

Because people don't like to loose, in any way shape or form, whether it's to imbalanced skills, imbalanced games, or a game of patience. Patience is a lost art in the world of gaming i'm afraid to say.

I'm so tired of seeing the so called "pvp players" behave like they are what matters most in the game. All they do is cry when things don't go their way.
A good example of that is that one thread where some "pvp players" are sarcastically complaining about their exclusion from Chapter 4 tests. (like they were the only ones qualified to it. Pretty selfish to think that way, heh?)
The world does not revolve around you.

Sorry buddy, but some of those "pvp players" are some of the best playersin the world and are the ones that, through their help not only could make pvp or pve, but the whole god damned game better
those are the players that know the skills out of their arses, they know every map, every nook and cranny in the game and they should be helping it be the best it is...
The problem with those "pvp players" is that some of them are the biggest arseholes in the world and those are the ones not in alpha anymore... The good players are (well most of them, but hell)

Well PvErs cry just as much because PvP gets some PvE skills nerfed and ruining farming spots trying to stop gold sellers (impossible). So don't go blaming just the PvPers, if you were.
I'm a PvEr and I cry constantly about things when it ruins something and I have to fix something or go to something more boring. Change is garbage.

Forum is biased towards complaints, as there isn't much to post about when you're happy with everything.
Apart from getting that perfect pink dye mix maybe.
I'm glad that you, the OP, are happy. But why are you bothered by others that are not? Do you think it will make Anet throw in the towel? There is nothing wrong with critisism and discussion. Although some of the accompanying drama could be done without, true.

Guild Wars was not given to us. It is a product made by some people who formed a company to make money. We are customers who paid for that product and we come here to express our opinions -- good, bad, or indifferent -- on said product. Anet, being a company that presumably wishes to continue to sell product, wisely listens (or, at least, pretends to, whatever) and presumably tries to use those opinions -- good, bad, or indifferent -- to improve their product.
A post about how wonderful Anet is and how everyone should never complain adds nothing useful to that process. A post about how, for instance, favor sux blue iguana eggs and should be removed, at least has the potential to add something useful to that process.
Be grateful we have far more of the latter than the former.

People miss the point....Anet doesn't HAVE TO do anything more to any of the games...they have your money. Could just sit back and make the next installment and hope that it is different enough from the other ones that people buy it, or branch out into something else.
This constant bitching is what is ruining the game, and its not just me I have read several industry reviews and they all say how GW has one of the worst if not the worst communitees in the gaming world. Game of the year aside. People bitching in game because events start PST, or that the event is gay or that people are noobs and think they can get into teams not flashing their rank emotes as "proof".
People are nasty, just try getting a question answered in game, or for that fact here, that is somewhat "noob".
Anet is great, are there things they could improve on? YES. Is that the main problem of the game? NO. Maybe for once sit back and instead of picking apart things...just be grateful that they even care enough to update and upgrade the game. Say a thank you once and a while and maybe just maybe it might spur them on a bit quicker, than the aspect of working on something that no matter what is just going to create someone bitching.

maybe the drama is what i am really sick of. zappa made a long response a few posts above this that made me laugh. it seems he fell into exactly what i was talking about with people complainaing about the game the way they do. i love criticism and discussion, but lay off bashing anet for 'being lazy' when clearly they are not. my point is, complaining doesent get anything done, or even enlighten annyone. discussion however does. so i like the ideas that are thrown out there, just not the flipping out about that goes along with it.
